Horror Haikus II

Horror Haikus II

The rocker, Mother?
What a view from this window!
Oh, there’s the doorbell.

Wanton loneliness
Will end with the upcoming
Electrical storm.

What a gift! A doll
That perfectly looks like you
with a matching pin!

The King needs advice
a whole body dangle or
A head on a pike.

My portrait restored,
Years of attic dust and mold
Still, I look not well.

Please let the squirming
with uncontrolled writhing stop
I must take the stand.

In a starless night,
Calling out, who will hear this
Echolocation?

Mister Nuttel shook
As if he looked at a ghost
It was a squirrel.

What is with this child?
Tantrums over a few eyes
In her bowl of meat.

Serpent of this lake
Prefers the foggy mornings
to break the surface.

Oh Pandora, laugh
You will breathe freely again
With a brand new key.

Days turn into Weeks,
Weeks into months, counting years,
Leaves me here and now.

One reunion brings
Everyone together with
last rites memories.

Our golden tribute
Was not enough to make us safe
from smallpox or Spain.

Must I remind you!
Spilt liquids again? Clean up
After Mister Hyde.

After the long jam
A whole swathe of dancing fans
decapitated

My fourth wife enjoyed
Petit fours with almond glaze
Makes her so sleepy.

A regular tide
dependable as the moon,
to a buried man.

Tiny pincers open
Reach into a fleshy cave
Not an obstacle.

Throw the preserver
Arms reached for the buoy as
the rope’s knot untied.

Answer our prayers, Lord
Oh Mighty Creator, Here !
The Volcano roars.
