I used to have a nice archive (Li’l Mattress!) of Charles Laquidara shows from Manao Radio and WBOS – all linked and even subscribe/podcast-able but my WebHost switched servers twice (and lost the site twice) and ruined a lot of good links TWICE and then limited the amount of space I can use (and then wanted to charge me more – THEY suck! – but here I am …) and how here’s A link to A WBOS show – it might get scrootched at some point because of Copyright and Copywrong – this is just a link to an mp3. – 20 years ago! Ah but I was so much younger then I’m older than that now.
Here’s a demo of Folktronica noise emanating from a Harlin Multi-Kord with fresh strings. Space is cramped here, and i didn’t hook a volume pedal, nor try to emulate a Pedal Steel (much) using this console guitar. Snail Run by ThE iNtEnSiOnS.
In the 1980’s Sacco’s in Watertown, MA had a country music open mic, where I’d go in early to get dinner and listen to local singer-songwriters and try out my own stuff. This clip is from 1988… I have a couple other tapes somewhere – recorded on an Akai portable tape deck. Sometimes I did the soundboard there (Where I met Paul Terazzo/Kenny Selzer/Brother Cleve – and the standard folks Ed Kunkle, Bucky Bear, the guy who played pedal steel on a keyboard, Dave Sammarco, Karen Silver…so many others I have forgotten – I even made demo tapes for Mark Shapiro) This was before the Harvard Square – Black Rose open mics (famous for bumping me to an 11:15 slot) which turned into the Kendall Cafe Open Mic…
Just a couple songs here (not my set which i have) Up against the wall – Uncle Kunkle and Robert Wheeler playing Ukulele Lady, I think…
I’m not sure what that even means! I’ve been giving away music and sending it to Soundcloud, Reverbnation and Tumblr for years. I had reached some limits so in order to keep using these services I had to pay them something and in there is monetization (well, with soundcloud at least, reverbnation is a big fat question mark) – anyhow some playlists I’ve created so smaller chunks of some stuff reather than Albums (albums may be acquired at bandcamp and/or noisetrade) https://soundcloud.com/theintensions
